This time of year always invites a moment of pause—not just to celebrate a holiday, enjoy a great meal, or gather with those we love—but to truly reflect on the blessings woven into our everyday lives. And I have many. My health, my family, my friends…and each of you who visit, read, follow along, and share in these photographic adventures with me.
Lately, I’ve found myself appreciating life with a bit more depth. Maybe it’s age. Maybe it’s perspective. Or maybe it’s simply recognizing how fortunate I am to wake up and do the things I love—whether it’s a simple daily routine or one of those rare, once-in-a-lifetime moments behind the lens. Gratitude has a way of sharpening our focus far better than any camera ever could.
I came across something recently that stayed with me:
“We’re all just one bad decision, one accident, one diagnosis, one unexpected phone call away from an entirely different life. Stay humble and be grateful.”
No matter where you live or what traditions you celebrate, that reminder rings true for all of us. Life is fragile. Life is precious. And life is better when we notice it.
So as many here in the United States celebrate Thanksgiving—and as the rest of the world moves through another day filled with its own small miracles—please know this:
I am grateful for you.
My hope is that my photography brings you a sense of connection, wonder, and appreciation for this big, beautiful planet we share. And if it makes you smile along the way, even better.
Wishing you joy, peace, and gratitude—today and every day.
With appreciation,
George
