Ever heard of being in two places at once? Well, I finally pulled it off—at the Continental Divide, no less. There I am on the left of the sign… and wait—there I am again on the right!
No, the Rocky Mountains National Park hasn’t unlocked a new parallel-universe portal (though I wouldn’t complain). The trick? A trusty friend with my iPhone set to panoramic camera setting, and me sprinting behind him like a caffeine-charged mountain goat. He panned slooowly from left to right while I dashed behind him and reappeared before the panorama caught up. Voilà—instant twin Georges.
The end result looks like I’ve cloned myself just to make sure someone’s always taking the photo and holding the backup camera. Because let’s face it—when you’re about to head off on a big photography adventure, you can never have too many Georges or too many cameras.
Speaking of adventures—I’m heading off to Yellowstone National Park! The blog will be quiet for a week or so while I’m gone, but when I return, brace yourself for geysers, bison, beer, wolves, eagles, great grey owls, and whatever else inspires me to move my finger.
Until then—remember: if you ever need to appear in two places at once, bring a friend, a panoramic setting, and a good pair of running shoes.
